Farmer’s Bag Toledo is a weekly budget-friendly, fresh farm food membership, designed for our local Toledo community.

How It Works:

Join us every Friday from 4:30–6:30 PM at Urban Wholistics in Tatum Park. Build your own Farmer’s Bag by choosing your favorite 5 produce items from the selection of 8-10 items on the tables. Subscription members also get a free bonus “Farmer’s Surprise veggie” too!

BUILD YOUR OWN FARMER’S BAG
Fresh food. Your choice.
Choose 5 fresh produce items from that week’s harvest. Instead of receiving a pre-packed box, you’ll select the fruits and vegetables your family will actually enjoy eating.
FARMER SURPRISE
Subscription members also receive a 6th bonus seasonal item selected by the farmer. It might be fresh herbs, fruit, a unique vegetable, value-added item from a farm collaborator, or another fun harvest surprise.

Stop by Farmer’s Kitchen each Friday to: pick up recipe cards, learn simple cooking tips, sample a recipe, or ask questions about the week’s harvest

Q: When do I pick up?
Starting August 7th, join us for Farmer’s Bag Friday every Friday from 4:30–6:30 PM at Urban Wholistics, located at 619 Woodland Ave. Toledo, OH 43604.
Q: When does the program start and end? Farmer’s Bag Toledo kicks off on Friday, August 7, 2026. Join us for our very first Farmer’s Bag Friday and begin building your own bag of fresh, local produce! The final week is November 6th.
Q: Can I choose what’s in my bag? Absolutely! Every Friday you’ll build your own Farmer’s Bag by choosing 5 fresh produce items from a weekly selection of 8–10 seasonal fruits and vegetables. We’ll email members the week’s harvest before Farmer’s Bag Friday so you can look forward to your favorites! A few popular items may have limits so everyone has a chance to enjoy them.
Q: What if I don’t like one of the vegetables offered?
That’s okay! Because you build your own Farmer’s Bag, you can choose the fruits and vegetables your family will actually enjoy. And if you’re feeling adventurous, give this week’s Farmer Surprise a try—you just might discover a new favorite!
Q: I’m confused by the pricing. Which pricing option do I choose?
Choose the Membership that best fits your household. Families who pay the Full Price ($25/week) help support the long-term success of this program, while the Community Supported option ($14/week) is made possible by generous community partners. No matter which you choose, you’ll receive the exact same Farmer’s Bag and Member benefits.
Q: Why is it only $14?
Thanks to community partners who believe every family should have access to fresh, local food, we’re able to offer this pilot program at a reduced price.
Q: What if I miss Pickup on Fridays? If you know you’re going to miss pickup, or if something unexpected comes up, please contact our program administrator as soon as possible. We’ll build a default bag of favorite items for you and leave it with Urban Wholistics. Whenever possible, we’ll work with you to arrange a pickup at Urban Wholistics before Sunday evening.
Q: Can someone else pick up my Farmer’s Bag for me?
Absolutely! If you can’t make it, a friend or family member is welcome to pick up your Farmer’s Bag. Just let our program administrator know ahead of time by email or text so we know who to expect. Since they’ll be picking up in your place, please ask them to bring a reusable bag or box to carry your produce home.
Q: Can I pause my Founding Membership if I’m out of town or on vacation?
No, we aren’t able to pause or refund individual weeks during the 14-week season. You’re welcome to send a friend or family member to pick up your Farmer’s Bag in your place, or you can donate your bag to another family in the community.
Q: What if I don’t like it? Can I cancel my membership?Absolutely! We want you to love being part of Farmer’s Bag Toledo. If you decide the Membership isn’t the right fit, simply contact our program administrator and we’ll help you cancel your Membership.
Q: Can I try a Farmer’s Bag before becoming a Founding Member?
Yes—if we still have Farmer’s Bags available after our Founding Members Early Signup Promotion, you may be able to purchase a one-time Weekly Bag for $16. Weekly Bags are available in limited quantities and are not guaranteed each week. They also do not include the Farmer Surprise bonus item. These won’t be available to order until August 1st.
Q: How do I sign up for a Farmer’s Bag Toledo Membership? Signing up is easy! Simply place your Membership order online and enter your credit or debit card. Your card will be automatically charged each Friday (either $14 or $25) for 14 weeks, so you don’t have to remember to order every week. Then, just come to Farmer’s Bag Friday each Friday from 4:30–6:30 PM to build your own Farmer’s Bag!
