Pumpkin Hunt A Hit

Our Pumpkin Hunt was a hit! We’re so glad we postponed it to this past weekend. The weather was a crisp, lower-60′s. The sky was perfectly clear. The bugs were few in number. We had about 40 people attend, and we all fit around our two fire rings. Customers enjoyed sipping on hot chocolate and cider from Eshelmans Orchards. We brought in those delicious cider donuts from Fleitz Pumpkin Farms. And of course, the SMORES! Kids enjoyed the pumpkin hunt, where they had to find 17 green or orange pumpkins hidden around the farm in the dark. Each was marked with reflective tape and a number, so they could be seen with a flashlight. Once they found the pumpkin, they had to find the adjacent cup with a stamper inside. After stamping their scorecard, kids raced on to find the next one. Our winners were Laif Thorbahn and Anna Siegel. Congratulations! Every participant also received a glow-stick, which was great fun, watching them swirl them around in the darkness. Thanks to everyone who came. It was a blast! See you next year.
